🟠⚫️Wolves v Liverpool🔴⚪️

Research/Write Up:

The early kick off sees Wolves take on Liverpool and, in my opinion, player props is the way to go with this one and the stats certainly support it. The stats for this one are absolutely superb, and whilst the data is only 4 games old, this bet cannot be ignored at the price offered at a shade under evens.

It’s clear that under Gary O’Neil Wolves are keen to sit back, allowing teams to attack them, and then counter attack quickly. This means the opposition are having the lions share of possession, resulting in Wolves making a lot of tackles as they look to disrupt play and break forward rapidly. Wolves are also happy to play out from the back, this often results in them losing possession and quickly looking to win it back and the tackle stats show this clearly. So far this season, Wolves have made: 26,18,20,23 tackles which is an extremely high average of 21.8 tackles per game.

2 players who are making way more tackles than anyone else in the Wolves squad are robust right back, Nélson Semedo and combative midfielder, Mario Lemina. Semedo has made an incredible: 6,3,4,4 tackles thus far (4.25 average) with Lemina making: 5,3,3,1 which is an average of 3. Both had brief outings for Portugal and Gabon respectively last weekend so they should arrive for this game fresh, fit and firing to get stuck in to a Liverpool side who look a much more attacking threat this season.

As you can see, this bet would have absolutely flown in during Wolves’s last 3 matches and missed out by just 1 Lemina tackle on the opening day at Old Trafford - and that was only because Wolves spent most of the game attacking as United floundered! They’ll surely not have anywhere near as much of the ball against a Liverpool side who’ve started the season pretty well and will press high up the pitch. This is also shown in their stats. Liverpool have been tackled: 15,19,18,13 times, which is an average of 16.3 per game. If Wolves get near that amount (I personally think they’ll get more) then we can be confident Semedo and Lemina will get just the 2 each that we need. Good luck, everyone. 👍🏻
